A letter to the outcast.
You’ve felt abandoned.
You’ve felt smothered.
You’ve been noticed when you didn’t want to be.
You’ve been ignored when you did.
You’ve built the walls.
You’ve made them near impossible to breach.
You’ve called out.
You’ve ignored those who called to you.
You’ve cast blame for your problems.
You’ve been blamed for the problems of others.
You’ve been outcast.
A letter to the outcast.
You’ve been strong.
You’ve been persistent.
You’ve never let the opinions of others stop you.
You’ve been broken.
You’ve begun to build yourself up again.
You’ve worked hard.
You’ve ridded your life of what haunts you.
You’ve sought out that which loves you.
You’ve found a new path.
You’ve cast yourself apart.
You’ve been made new.
As a child of God, an outcast no more.
Prayers needed, as my family is once again facing hardships they shouldn’t have to face. However, we rejoice in knowing that a mighty and powerful God has His hand on every moment of our trials as well as our triumphs!
“I, the Lord, have called you in righteousness: I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles, to open eyes that are blind to free captives from prison and to release fro the dungeon those who sit in darkness.”
How great is it that we have the ability to serve alongside a God who does’t need us to save someone? Because the fact of the matter is that we can’t. We can teach. We can love. We can even walk alongside them in their journey. But we cannot physically save them.
God [calls]. God [takes] hold. He [keeps] us. He [makes] us. He [allows] us to work through Him as a tool for Him.
Take Paul. Perhaps the greatest outcast of them all, alone feared, abandoned, judged. But as God worked through him, he became powerful. He became a light bringing the prisoners out of the darkness of the dungeon.
We serve a mighty, mighty, awesome God! A God with a heart for the outcast.
