Safe to say this last week has been gnarly!!! Has God ever taken your plans and totally done a 180 on you? GOD DID A 180 ON ME!!! On Thursday night, I was given a GINORMOUS donation that put me in a shocked state for two hours…then I began to ball. (Yes, I am an emotional being!) The donor then asked me if this generous donation would allow me to leave in September. This is when God began to show me how detailed his love is for us.
1) Called my WR mobilizer to explain the huge blessing, and asked if it was possible to switch back to a September route. She said because training was in a week, I was able to switch. (I had the weekend to decide)
2) Prayed asking God when he wanted me to leave. Asked family and friends, and they said, if September departure was possible that it would all fall into place.
3) Saturday had 30 minutes in REI before it closed (closest store is 2 hours away) and got all my gear in the nick of time! Thanks to my man, Ed the smartest REI employee.
4) Sunday received prayer from my church and the peace to leave in a month.
5) Monday told my mobilizer the decision and scheduled my flight to Georgia for training camp, which is Friday. (Parents had frequent flyer miles! HOLLAR!)
6) I have a friend from the desert that is interning in Atlanta and is providing housing prior to training and day after to catch open-air flights.
7) Chatted with squad mates, learned we have some rad squad shirts…guess what…they had one extra…and would you believe it is my size!!!
GOD IS SO SO FAITHFUL!!! He has blessed me beyond words! He has opened the door for me to leave in Sept and I am stepping through it! It may be a quick departure, but I have never felt so taken care of every each step of the way. God uses risk takers. I’m stoked to take this leap! So very thankful for all of you who have prayed and supported me along this journey. IT’S GOING TO BE CRAZY!
