I had a pretty cool photo blog ready to be posted, but sadly my pictures won't load so I will go without the pictures and just write you a little about Peru.
The entire squad is together this month in Trujillo, Peru. We are working with Inca Link Peru, and staying in what we call the compound, but in reality is an orphanage in the process of being built. Each week the teams participate in a different ministry that Inca Link has.
So far we have worked at the Dump, loving on some beautiful children and building a soccer field. This was by far my favorite ministry so far on the the trip. (and what my photo blog was about, check out my Peru Album on facebook to see photos)
Then last week we worked with Inca Thakhi, a sandboarding ministry which works with young boys. This was a also a really awesome ministry but wasn't exactly my thing (I don't like walking in deep sand or climbing sand dunes) but the heart behind the ministry is just AMAZING! I know God will use this ministry greatly.
Tomorrow will be the start of our last week of ministry here in Peru, and Reckless Pursuit is teaming up with Team Luminous (The team we worked with in Ecuador) to do construction at the compound. Which I am looking forward to doing.
Spanish this month has been a challenge. I have had to use my Spanish more this month than in the past, (I acted as a translator for some street evangelism our second day here in Trujillo) but harder too, because I am surrounded by 60 English speakers and am not in a constant state of needing my Spanish to communicate. It has been a hard thing to balance. But I know I am getting better.
I know there is a lot more that I could share, but I don't really know what I want to share. So if you have questions please send me a message, I would love to share more with you.
