I’m currently sitting on the couch at my friend and squadmate’s house. I flew into Atlanta from Seattle by way of Phoenix. This adventure that started over 7 months ago is finally becoming real. A little later today, I will be headed over to someone else’s house where a bunch of my squad will be meeting up. These people who I have been building relationships with for months will no longer be texts messages or Facebook profile pictures; they will be people I can wrap my arms around and hug like crazy.

Training camp starts on Saturday and for the most part I have no idea what we will be doing for the week. Camp is completely shrouded in mystery. We have but speculations of what to expect. All I really know is that it is gonna be an amazing week of building relationships with my squad and spending time with God. We’ll all be sleeping in our tents, in our sleeping bags, living much like we will be on the Race.

I don’t have any big personal revelations to talk about, no spiritual highs or supernatural happenings. I simply can say that I have been extremely blessed by God through all of you over the last several months. It is because of your generosity that I am able to go on the World Race and serve as God has called me. I wouldn’t be sitting in Atlanta right now if not for your prayers, love, encouragement and donations. You all are a part of this Race with me. Thank you for allowing me to be your representative.
