God is so much more than just showing up on Sunday at church. He is randomly placing me in a situation where I have to sing and giving me the voice to do so. He is the great I Am. He is sending me on a trip around the world with only Him to trust. He is the truth, the life, and the way (John 14:6). He is drawing me closer to His heart. He is the light of the world (John 8:12). He is everything that I need and so much more. In Him I find my freedom and my identity.
“There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus” (Romans 3:24). My freedom is found in Christ alone. Figuring out exactly who I am in Christ is a process but I have the freedom to figure that out. This trip is part of figuring out who I am in Christ. This life is about figuring out who you are in Christ. I know that I am more loved and cared for than I have ever known before.
As we leave Serbia we will be heading to Istanbul, Turkey. Because the Middle East is fairly new ground for the World Race and as a member of an all-girl team, I ask each one of you to continue to pray for my team. These countries are very male dominated. Also, these next two month’s blogs may be vague as to where we are and what we are doing. This is to protect our contacts and the people that we are with. Please consider this when you are leaving comments on future blogs for the next two months. We are very excited to be entering a new country and meeting new people.
