While we have been here we have met several friends that serve here at the mission. Two guys that all of us seem to like a lot are Nigel, Rocheanne’s friend, and Marcello, a volunteer. They always want to take us somewhere and do something with us. We have all have had a great time getting to know the hearts of these men of God. They are truly a blessing to this community and city. They work hard all the time and extremely devoted to the Dublin Christian Mission.
We have cleaned out rooms all over this place. We have moved things out of one room only to move it back in there to clean another room out. This is actually quite humorous. Team Benkadi has really enjoyed being here in the city of Dublin. We have learned so much about each other even in just the first week.
In 1 Samuel 2:19 is the story of Samuel and his coat. The story is about his mother bringing him a coat every year that is too big for him but by the end of the year the coat is too small for him. I have just been given that big coat. The World Race is big coat. Being a team leader only adds inches to the sleeves. God is constantly growing me into this coat. God has really been working on my heart lately. I have had some sleepless nights and restless days. I am continuing to deal with growth and change. At first I did not understand why I had been put into this leadership position but through many discussions and a lot of affirmation by my teammates I think that I have begun growing into the coat.
I know that God has some great plans for Team Benkadi this next year. I am so excited that I get to spend this time in my life with these girls serving the people of the world. I am so blessed. We are bringing KINGDOM!!!
