Months one through four have come and gone in one big swoop and now it is time to make my way to AFRICA! First stop is Kenya! Team Chi Rho will be serving in the city of Nakuru with Bliss Women and Children Project. Check it out at www.bwcp.org.
This organization helps to meet the needs of women and children who live in extreme poverty. They provide education, business training, food, shelter, and health care for these women and children so that they can provide for themselves and make their way out of poverty. They also provide counseling for those struggling with drug abuse and/or suffering from HIV/AIDS.
I am beyond thrilled to take part in this ministry. I can't wait to serve these women and children alongside my teammates. The way that God has been working on my heart I know will make a huge impact in the ministry that we will be doing. And I am certain that I will gain so much from these women and children. It's going to be an amazing month for sure!
I'm also giddy that we will basically have Nakuru Lake National Park as our backyard. It is a park with lakes that are filled with flamingos and land covered with black rhinos, leopards, giraffes, lions, pythons, and all the other African safari animals.
This is going to be quite the adventure!!!!!
