Finally a fundraising update!

Weight loss is going good. It’s not as much as I wanted by now but I am loosing weight. I have dropped 15 lbs from the start of this weight loss challenge and so now I am down to 205. I can’t seem to make it past that. Ill have to boost my exercise… or become a vegan… ha ha.

I have hit many road blocks with reserving buildings for fundraisers. My church is more than willing to host them… but I was hoping that I could get a bigger venue in a bigger town. So far I talk to a lot of voicemails and actually had a church tell me “there is no room in the inn,” I was crushed. I’m still in pursuit of planning all of them. Please be praying for guidance.

On the upside of fundraising I had a supporter tell me that every penny I raise… in support or in fundraisers… they would match! WOW! God has blessed me! The Race is $13,800.00 and I need an additional 2,500.00 for visa’s, insurance, and flights to and from The Race. If I raise half ($8,150.00) the other half will be paid for. At the completion of the weight loss challenge (if I loose the 60lbs), the money from the yard sales and some donations already in my account I will have $2000.00, only needing $6,150.00 to come in after that. When I break it into smaller numbers, that seem possible to obtain, it makes the platform for the big picture. (If at anytime you want to support me finacially, fundraiser or not, there is a “support me” link on the left side of the screen. It takes less then 2 minutes.)

I have been keeping myself rather busy the last month. I had 2 weeks that I was down from getting my wisdom teeth out (because they did them in sections) and a wonderful week that I spent looking after my grandpa. It was great to be with him, share stories and laughter… I miss him already. I was offered a part time job that I am so grateful for! I make my schedule and have, maybe, 8 hours a week. It helps to pay for bills while I am still here in the States… She is a great boss that has a heart for missions. I am blessed.

After being discouraged for a few weeks about finances I can feel the gloom lifting. I can feel God smiling, and for the first time in a few weeks I feel like myself again. Thank you for all your continuing prayers and support, they mean the world to me… and I can see them working.
