A common topic amongst believers and even non believers, is that of unworthiness. Many of us feel that no matter what we do or say, we will never be worthy of this or that. We feel unworthy of God, of love, of friendship, of a career pathway, you name it. I’m here to tell you that all of those things are lies. Yes we are unworthy of everything He has given us, but it is by His grace that we receive His love and walk in freedom. You are worthy of all of those things, but most of all you are worthy of Jesus. People think you have to come to him in a perfect put together box with some fancy ribbon on top.
Wrong.
That’s not it at all and never has been. We’ve misconstrued the concept of grace and what that really looks like. Jesus wants you now, where you’re at this very moment. He wants us vulnerable, broken, and confused. He wants to make you whole from the inside out. There is no need to strive to be a perfect version of yourself before giving your life to The Lord because in reality, we will never portray that image. We will never look how we want to or how we think we are needed to look. The one and only perfect human was Jesus.
So if you have never before considered giving your life to The Lord for whatever reason it may have been, do it now. Give it to him. Lay it all at his feet and experience is never failing grace, peace, joy and love. Forget the excuses and lies that you’ve always believed. Let him show you who you are in his eyes. Let him romance you like you’ve never been before. Let him give you faith to have a relationship with the One who desires your heart the most. Be open. Be willing. See what happens..
