In the jungle, the mighty jungle.

I am finally a World Racer!!!

I can’t believe this is my reality. We landed in the Dominican Republic and are staying at this beautiful house in the middle of the jungle. Our host contacts have been such a blessing and have been GREAT and loving to all of us!

Days before we left Atlanta I was feeling so much stress, unrest, and homesickness. I felt that this was not the route I was meant to take and felt so lost. One night during launch I started crying during worship and God completely filled me up with his love and grace. He reassured me that what I’m doing is all for Him and is what I’m meant to do during this season of life. I had a whole new outlook on this journey and since then have been overwhelmed by His presence and love. I am in awe that He has brought me to this place and am so, so thankful that He has chosen to send me out to the nations.

So far a ton has happened in the few days we’ve been here! We have been eating authentic Dominican cuisine, eating fresh fruit from the nearby trees, and bathing in river pools, how awesome is that?? I will be in tents for this whole month in the middle of the jungle, and I would not have it any other way. We are so blessed by the beauty all around and cannot wait to explore more!

Tonight starts the teen camp that we will be assisting in for the week and I am so excited to get to know the hearts of the youth that will be attending. God has shown up so much in these past few days and I cannot wait to see Him move this week. Please pray that Gods presence shows up hardcore this week, and moves every heart who attends.

I am excited!! I cannot wait to see what happens and have learned to take this journey moment by moment, and always focus on Jesus. He will always know what’s best for me and I will follow Him always.
