These past couple of months have been some of the craziest. From getting accepted on the race, graduating college, traveling, turning 22 and everything in between, I can say that time has flown by. Through this time I’ve been horrible with blogging and keeping people in the loop about my trip that I leave for in a week from now, and for that, I want to apologize.
Though I’ve been so busy lately, that is no excuse. This post is dedicated to all my supporters who have brought me to where I am currently in my fundraising. It is because of each and every one of you that I am not only able to launch, but 88% funded for my trip. What?! 88%! Praise God!!! You all are so incredible. God is so good and I have learned a lot through this fundraising process and would like to share a few things.
Right when I got accepted I was horrified to ask for donations from friends, family, and especially strangers. I am the person who is extremely independent and is not used to having to rely on others financially. After I got accepted I prayed about peace through the whole fundraising process and I put my full faith in God to provide for my trip. No matter what, I knew He would come through for me. I have been BEYOND blessed with financial support and prayer support as well. God has given me an extraordinary amount of peace through the process and has taught me to fully trust in Him no matter how scary and difficult it gets sometimes. He has called me, and I know He will take care of me. You guys have proven that.
Thank you to all of you who have supported my trip, I have no idea where I would be without each and every one of you. Not only are you helping me survive this next year, but you have also given me a piece of your lives and I am forever grateful. Thank you for believing in me and believing in what God is going to do this next year of my life. I’m so lucky to have an opportunity like this and hope that you all follow along the journey that you have provided for me.
I cannot wait to see what God has in store for the next 11 months, but I know it is not going to be out of the ordinary. I am so excited to share with you all my life and stories as I venture off, and would love if you would all still keep me in your prayers.
