Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”
And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”

Jan. 12, 2010. Earthquake destroys Haiti.
Jan. 13, 2010. My spirit knew I’d be going to Haiti for a length of time before the year is out.
May 26, 2010. I fly to Haiti.

Satan has tried to lie me out of committing to Haiti. “You have nothing to offer.”  “You can’t help anyone.”  “They don’t need you.”  “There are others with better skills and more resources.”

But I refuse to listen to these lies and I choose to listen to the still, small voice inside that’s been telling me for months I’d end up working in Haiti for a while. So from at least May 26 until August 14, I’ll be on staff with AIM working dual roles as a Project Leader and Media Missionary (as I call it!).

AIM has a continuous flow of week-long missions teams going to Haiti throughout the entire summer. These teams are helping different church communities begin the long rebuilding process, as well as distributing food and water. Last week, a team took $15,000 worth of rice and beans to sustain two tent communities. Read more & see video about it here! Subscribe to field updates by putting your email address in HERE.

God has been preparing me for such a time as this. Through the blessing of videography training from a professional (thank you Britt Jones!), I am more prepared than ever before to create journalistic interview-based video stories from the field. My heart is to share the stories of the Haitian people, lest we forget their need. I also desire to share stories of how God has been at work bringing revival to a nation brought to its knees. I know the challenges of working in Haiti will be immense, and I will not succeed without your prayer support.

I’ve heard from many friends down there is that though there has been a huge influx of workers, there is ever more NEED. To go to Haiti, I need your partnership not only in prayer but in a small amount of finances. My summer support goal is $2,000 for the ten week trip. About $750 of that was airfare, and the rest will go towards ground expenses and relief supplies. AIM is renting property for teams to tent on, and we’re employing / empowering local pastors and ministries to get work done, providing an influx of funds to Haiti. If you have questions about finances, please email me. To support me financially as a Project Leader / Media Missionary, click HERE and please choose “Staff Support” in the drop-down menu. My name should appear automatically in the Participant section. (This is the same link as clicking the *join my Support Team button on the left)

Finally, I will be posting updates here on my blog as well as on the AIM Haiti Field Blog. (http://haiti.adventures.org/)  You can subscribe or unsubscribe at any time to either of these. Please keep me, other field workers, and ESPECIALLY the Haitians in your prayers as the Kingdom of God works together to rebuild a nation.

Blessings to you all! love in Christ.
