If you’ve been keeping up with my blogs, you know that in month 7 my team was selected for a special project. For the first week we went to Thailand with the rest of our team. We journeyed to Pattaya to work with a ministry that offers English classes to women working in the bars as prostitutes. After that we journeyed back to Cambodia! AIM recently purchased a guest house, now called the Overflow Guesthouse in Siem Reap to be used as a base and business as missions. We worked there for 2 weeks doing the various jobs that need to be filled at a guesthouse. I worked Reception, Carly did the kitchens, etc. After that week we returned to Thailand, Phuket this time, for our month 7 debrief.
These were our 2 hosts in Cambodia, Scott and Christina. They were both former racers and have since gotten engaged!!! Siem Reap, Cambodia was definitely one of my favorite cities on the race.
