This blog’s going to be pretty short! Today we painted two different buildings, our dining hall and the bodega or shop. That was honestly most of our day. The heat index was at 102 degrees Fahrenheit so we definitely had the chance to sweat out our toxins today! In a few hours the first short term group arrives. For most of our ministry this month we will just be doing whatever they are going to do whether that’s playing games with kids, doing church, giving out rice, etc.
Apparently today is Canada Day, so Happy Canada Day to all of the Canadians out there. In particular Courtney (courtneycosgrove.theworldrace.org) is my favorite Canadian who I have had the pleasure of being on a team with. We went out and bought a cake, chips, salsa and cokes in honor of the holiday. The cake was red and white so that’s a little bit Canadian? We also ate maple syrup on our pancakes today so basically we’re now all Canadian. We played games like Heads Up, Scumbags and Warlords and Catchphrase and laughed so hard that most of us had to run to the bathroom.
Anyway the days are speeding along. Looking forward to this new group!
