Hello Everyone!
I’m not awesome at this whole blogging thing but here it goes.
I am soooooo excited to be going on the world race. As I struggle to find out exactly what God’s path for me is, I am so glad to be doing it along side of some pretty awesome people around the world. For those who didn’t get a missions letter and want one I am going to attach it here! The easiest way to support me is through the support me link on my blog!
Thanks!
More profound blogs to come….
Katie
Greetings!
I am so very happy to announce that, after much prayer and God’s favor, I have been accepted to the World Race through Adventures in Missions! AIM is an organization that seeks to do non-profit charitable work while spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. The World Race is a wonderful opportunity to go to 11 countries in 11 months. After graduating from the University of Delaware in the spring, from September of 2015 to July of 2016, I will be traveling to Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Rwanda, Uganda, Ethiopia, India, Nepal, Malaysia, Thailand and Cambodia. In these countries I along with a team of about 30 others, will be doing missions works of both a spiritual and practical nature. I am SO excited for this! Last May, I was able to go to Guatemala on a missions trip. This sparked a greater desire in me to continue this work! For the entire year, the AIM projected cost is $15,000-$20,000. I am required to have ¼th of this in by June, another ¼th by August, another ¼th by October (one month in), and the last ¼th by December (3 months in). I am hoping to secure as much as possible before I leave. Although this seems daunting, if 150+ people, groups, churches etc. donated $100 each, my trip would be paid for in full! In addition to contributions, I am saving all that I am able to and allocating it towards this trip. As a college student with many bills, I completely understand that not everyone is able to give to every cause; that being said, any size donation would be greatly appreciated. During these times, I will also need as much prayer cover as possible! Please keep me in your prayers as I prepare for this journey, as well as after I embark.
Thank you so much and God bless,
Katie Needles
