About two weeks ago, our entire squad went through team changes which was exciting and scary and every emotion in between. Here are some of the facts about what team changes look like:
- Our squad of 46 did not change, we’re still the same wolfpack family we have been!
- Each team changed in some way. Some people are still with members of their first team while some are on a new team with new friends.
- Some of our squadmates were raised up as new team leaders (like my TL, Marisa) and some were raised up to be our new squad leaders when our current leaders go home at the end of this month (heyo Victoria!).
- Even though I will always love my Sonflora sisters, we won’t be together again as a fixed team while on the Race.
I’m happy to introduce to y’all my new team: Abundant Pursuit! I know these six ladies will challenge me, support me, and grow with me as we pursue Kingdom in Asia.

This month we’re living in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia doing ministry very similar to the ministry we were doing last month in Antigua. Every day we start with Bible study and worship before asking the Lord to direct our day. This opens us up to tons of different opportunities such as befriending the sweet barista at our favorite coffee shop, chatting with the man who holds menus outside a restaurant on our walk back to the hostel, and handing out sandwiches and water to the people who call the streets of KL home.
Discussing our faith is a little riskier in Malaysia so I ask that every person who reads this please be in prayer for my team (and the other teams of O Squad) as we maneuver our day to day activities. “Evangelizing” to certain people groups is illegal here so pray that the Lord gives us supernatural discernment when talking to strangers. Pray that people notice the difference in us as Christians and crave the light we carry.
I’m so excited to see what the Lord has in store for this month and to grow deeper in community with my new family.
