One year, two months, two weeks, and one day ago, I was accepted to the World Race and my journey began. From the very beginning the number $16,561 terrified me. Call it lack of faith, call it an issue of pride, whatever it may be all I know is that I never thought the day I’d be fully funded would come. I didn’t think the people around me would see the worth in what I wanted to do so I started to consider the possibilities. I decided that if I at least got to the $10,000 deadline that would allow me to launch that would be okay, Central America was the part of my route I was most excited about and if I had to go home after month four (our last month in Central), that’d be okay. I’d have gone to the places my heart most deeply desired.

Over the summer, however, that changed. While yes, I was still very excited to go to Central America, I felt God deeply root Asia in my heart. The statistics about human trafficking and the vast lack of the Gospel tore in to me and I knew I had to get there. This realization completely shattered my initial contingency plan. It became an all or nothing situation for me and I knew that coming home early was simply not an option, God wasn’t finished with my heart yet.

In eleven days, my squad will be in Malaysia and we will be at our final deadline of $16,561. I can say with a happy and thankful heart that God has provided the people that have helped me to be fully funded. Yep, you read that right.

I AM FULLY FUNDED!

This was nothing short of a miracle. Just one week ago, I was looking at my support raising summary and saw a looming $3,077 left to raise in about 18 days. I started to weigh out my options and consider the possibility that I’d be sent home before the end of the Race. To say I was stressed out would be an understatement. I started checking my support summary every day to check for updates and the ever anticipated Anonymous donations since we don’t get notifications of those until they’re processed. Today I got the official word and will be allowed to not only continue through Asia but finish up with my squad-family in Africa. I cannot thank God enough for providing each of you with the willing and generous heart He has given you.

If you ever donated, if you ever prayed, if you ever shared my blog, I am here because of you. I am here because you gave selflessly of your time and resources in order to bring glory to God and the Gospel to the nations. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

As exciting as this is for me, I am not the only one who was stressed out about this deadline. There are a few other people on my squad who are still in need of help! Below will be the links to the blogs of each person on my squad still in need of financial help. If you’re interested in continuing to support the ministry being done by my squad, please consider donating to one (or more, I don’t judge) of the people listed below. I know each of them personally and I know that they’d be incredibly grateful for your help. Any money that is donated through my blog will no longer be used for me but by Adventures in Missions for other necessary operations of the organization. You’re more than welcome and I encourage you to prayerfully consider supporting AIM but I will reiterate that any money donated will not go to me.

Thank you again, y’all! I can’t wait to see the ways God takes your gifts and multiplies them for His honor and glory.

I love each of you more than you could ever know.
