A letter to the students of Trinity College and Seminary in India,
When my team was first told that we would be working with you for two weeks as our ministry, I honestly felt nervous and a little scared. I didn’t feel qualified or capable as I have no background in teaching. The truth is I didn’t have to be qualified or capable as God was all I needed.
Brothers and sisters in Christ, you all have changed my life. I cannot begin to tell you how much I enjoyed the time we spent together worshiping God every morning, and our conversations every afternoon.
You inspire me in so many ways. You each are listening to God’s call to dedicate 2-5 years of your life to learn His word so that you can serve Him even better. Many of you have left your homes, and your families. You have stepped out in extreme boldness to learn in a language that is not your native tongue, and for some of you a brand new language.
God brought each one of you into my life for a reason. You have poured so much love, joy, and light into my life. I hope that through me the Holy Spirit was able to do the same. I appreciate your vulnerability and trust to share your story, your passions, and where God is leading you.
Please do not ever give up on anything you feel called to. Nothing is impossible. I urge you to dream, to set goals, and to pursue your passions. For God will speak through those in ways you cannot even begin to imagine.
Thank you for your prayers (especially the one’s for my future husband…just kidding…kind of J). Thank you for listening to me, and thank you most of all for pouring love into my team. Keep praising Jesus with all your hearts. I leave you with these words of encouragement from our Father:
“Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong. Do everything in love.” 1 Corinthians 16:13-14
So until I see you again whether on this earth or in heaven,
Katie
Some of my new friends from the seminary
For all my friends back home in the States:
A majority of these students are sponsored by people like you. Trinity College and Seminary in Sielmat, Manipur, India is ALWAYS in need of more sponsors. For $100 a month you can fully sponsor a student. This is someone who will be trained to go out into their local community, or the world to spread the Gospel of Christ. These students are the one’s who will bring God’s light to entire villages on this side of the world. If you would like more information please let me know.
