This month my team and I have been living with a host family that is originally from Cape Town, but followed God to Jeffreys Bay. Their stories are ever inspiring and I have learned so much from each of them!
See, their marriage started off as a relationship of this world, addicted to hard drugs and living in the sun of society, but Anthea heard His voice. She heard Him calling her out into the waves. She was lost and broken, running away from her family and needed to be saved. He came to her rescue. He said to her “I don’t care what you’ve done, no matter what, I love you.”
So Anthea came running to God and running back to her marriage and family, packed up within the next few days and moved to Jeffreys Bay where God has told her to go. Here’s the thing, God chose to use Anthea in the mists of her son. He saw a women addicted to drugs, who left her family and was running away from Him, and He chose her to host and lead World Race teams and a substance abuse support groups.
God will choose you, God desperately wants His children to follow Him. You are not to far gone from the Lord to come running back to Him. He has never left you and He never will. Something that was said at our launch for this trip was that God can never love you less than He does right now and He can never love me more than He does right now. RIGHT NOW. This very second no matter what I’m doing or what I’ve done, God can never love me less or more, He is giving me 100% of what He’s got. And now it’s my turn. It’s my turn to give God everything I’ve got and to leave my chains behind me. Im ready to give up what has been holding me back from the Lord and give Him everything I am, because He is my purpose.
And just like Anthea, I’m going to answer the call, I will do the radical thing. I will g up all I’ve ever known to be exactly where He wants me to be.
