Most tourists going from Thailand into Cambodia have a complex day ahead of them. Five or six forms of crowded, dusty public transportation, long lines made longer by those who bribe border guards, and a route riddled with clever scam artists and barefoot child pick-pockets.

To be honest, this travel day had me worried. If it was complicated and dangerous for travel bloggers in groups of 2 or 3, what would happen with a group of 40?

…we made it from door to door in 2 private air-conditioned buses, and most of our waiting time was spent at a restaurant while a helpful new friend got our Visas for us.

Seamless.

We arrived in Siem Reap, Cambodia at 8pm Saturday evening. The squad has been re-shuffled into new teams, and new squad leaders have been chosen! More details on that later.

This morning, we visited Angkor Wat at sunrise. Here are a few glimpses of our 1 “tourist day” in country #4!

This next photo is no postcard snapshot. It is a work of art, a visual tribute to my favorite place in my favorite little American city.

 “Frankor Wat”

Beginnings and ends are blurring together right now, with this being our last month in Asia, our last month with Patrick and Tiffany, our first month in new teams, and using American Dollars again (for the most part). Check back soon to meet my new team!
