Wow I know this is a little behind schedule BUT I have been in the beautiful Greece for the past week!
We were asked to share what our expectations about the race were. Here are mine…
I expect to…
- Truly live out the word community –both within my team and in all of the different places I will live. This is so important to me to be a community member and not just a “tourist” or “visitor”
- Be completely submerged in each culture and soak up as much as I can
- Be challenged and knocked down, but lifted back up even higher than before each time
- Have the standards and expectations of myself raised higher each day
- Become even better soil for the Lord to plant His seeds in my heart so that they may grow, produce and spread amazing fruit
- Have my heart broken over and over again
- Find healing
- Learn to be comfortable in the uncomfortable
- LOVE ON PEOPLE LIKE CRAZY!
- Create awesome relationships with the members of my team and the people I meet
- Grow and strengthen my own relationship with God
- Rely on Him for EVERYTHING — as well as rely on my team and not just myself
- Give it all up and lay it all down for Him
- Hold myself accountable for emailing my favorite Aunt Tan (she made me put this in here haha) Hi Uncle Steve!
- Laugh A LOT, be goofy and enjoy the amazing journey we are on
- LOVE LOVE LOVE!
