Feb 14th was not only Valentines day,
but our halfway mark for the race.
5.5 months done, 5.5 to go!
Anyways, here is a summary of:
Tanzania
Number of malaria tests: 1
Number of beds slept in: 2
Number of varieties of animals seen on Safari: 10
Number of LIONs seen: 12
Number of days spent in Tanzania: 24
Number of people who came to know Christ: MANY!
Tanzania currency: Shillings
1 USD = 1,600 Shillings
Highlights of the month:
1) One day during door-to-door evangelism, my teammate Marissa and I got to lead a young man into relationship with the Lord. Pray that he will grow to be a mighty warrior in Tanzania.
2) Our whole pack (pack = 2 teams working together for the month) went on a home visit to a women who was unable to walk without crutches and in chronic pain. We prayed for her and she proceeded to walk from the couch to the doorway, looked outside, and then walked back with minimal assistance. Praise the LORD!
3) Ruaha National Park Safari — One of our off days we went on a safari and got to see a lot of wildlife. It was about 14 hours in total for only $50 USD; now that’s a good deal!
4) Mini spring break to Zanzibar Island! We got 3 days off at the end of the month, which is the longest consecutive days we have had off ALL race so far, and went to Zanzibar. Think:: Caribbean, minus all the tourists. Beautiful, tropical, blue water, relaxing, & restful. And yes, it’s true, missionaries need vacations too.
***** I still have $2,800 to raise by March 1st or else I will be sent home from the field. I NEED YOUR (yes, YOU!) HELP to continue doing God’s work in Uganda, Thailand, Cambodia, & Malayasia.
