*DETAILS FOR SUPPORTING ME BELOW

I’ve been thinking about what I’ve wanted this first blog post to be for so long… Sometimes I want to it to be about my introduction and the story behind why I chose to do the World Race. Other times I feel like it needs to include all the details about what I will be doing while I’m on the race, and other times, I feel the pressure of time to talk about fundraising, or the fact that I already hate it. I get so overwhelmed at all my ideas and never end up following through.

At this point, I just need to blog about something, or take steps towards opening up about my life publicly. I’m no great story teller. I choose to let my photos and short captions tell the story. Every so often I will write about my adventures behind a picture, or a checklist of what I did one day while traveling. But the truth is, I have a hard time tackling big things like blogging, designing T-shirts, writing support letters…etc. I would rather naturally talk to someone in person, one-on-one, about my experiences, problems, and realizations without feeling like I have an agenda behind it.

Welcome to the life of a ENFP. We are great at having creative ideas, but rotten at carrying them out, unless they’re spontaneous and require no planning and just happen naturally. I have a feeling God is going to challenge me a lot in this area. Not just with fundraising, but on the race itself…and it’s not going to be pretty…so stay tuned…! It’s going to be a rough ride. I have no idea of what things I will share on this blog. But I do know I don’t want it to be a one-way conversation. So please, always feel free to comment, message, call me with questions, encouragements, or just to say hey!

For now, I’m going to include the details for how best to support me now, and a little video with an overview of what the race is! Everyone wins.

The best support I can get right now is prayer. It’s a tough one for me to realize, but more than finances, I need a support team praying for my trip, my squad, my anxiety over what the future will look like, and reaching that goal of $17,000. Prayer for peace and joy on the field. Eleven months is a long time, and it’s not going to be easy. I’m going to feel alone, depressed, and weak. I need to go into this prepared, but also with the realization that through all my efforts, I will fall short, and only God can strengthen me.

Details on how to contribute financially:

1) On this blog, you will see the bar with my financial goal at the top. Clicking “Donate” is one way to contribute. 100% goes to my fund.

2) You can mail a check to the following address:

PO Box 742570, Atlanta, GA 30374-2570

Make out to “Adventures in Missions” and PUT MY NAME IN THE MEMO. That way they know who to send it to.

3) Lastly, you can go to adventures.org/dynapay and pay online. On that page, you specify who you are giving to.

Thanks so much for all your support already, and way to go for making it to the end of this post!
