Since committing to the World Race almost nine months ago, the number 11 has a whole new value.
Eleven countries.
Eleven months.

Right now I’m narrowing in on $11,000 raised.

Today is 11/11, a day set aside to celebrate #11n11.
Because the World Race isn’t just about me and my journey.
Sure, it’s my name in the memo line of the check but it’s your name in the signature.
It’s my name on the purple t-shirt but it’s your body underneath it.
It’s my name on the airplane ticket but it’s your ears anxious to hear the story.
You’re cheerleaders. Prayer warriors. Financial supporters. Blog readers.
Today we are all World Racers.
To be a Racer means to put aside yourself for someone else.
To be a Racer means to be uncomfortable, dependent on others, and dirty–both literally and figuratively.
To be a Racer means to hear and respond to the Holy Spirit’s promptings.
To be a Racer means to be willing to participate in what God’s already doing around the world. Around your city. Around the world wide web.
How are you a Racer today?
(Feel free to share your story here and/or on social media with the hashtag #11n11)
PS: This post is reposted from my personal blog, KatieAxelson.com. While I’m on the field, there will be a lot of overlap but I can’t promise everything will be the same.
