The title of this post is misleading. I didn’t raise $5,000 is one week. God did.

On Tuesday night I had a dream that there was $10,000 in my support account. By Saturday, it was a reality.

(Well, it will be as soon as the checks I mailed go through).

At the time I hadn’t even hit the 50% fundraised yet. I was hovering just below the $5,500 mark.

But then all of the sudden everything changed and I blew past both my December and April deadlines.

I say “I” as if I had anything to do with it. Really, I just sat here and watched God work.

Letters sent out months ago were answered. Church and business donations came through at the same time. Even some people I hadn’t asked offered financial support.

I’m completely blown away!

This means I’ve only got about $4,000 left to raise.

My (lofty) goal of being fully-funded before Launch (January 6) is looking more and more like it’ll be a reality.

And I really can’t take credit for any of it.

The same God who called me to the Race is watching over even the details of my support account.

And I’m grateful for every single dollar that’s in there.

I know many of them have required a significant sacrifice.

Even though I get to go around the world… but you are the ones making a difference.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Thank you!
