I’m Katie, I’m 23 years old, and I’m so excited about this crazy opportunity to serve the Lord through The World Race!
A little bit about me…
I’m 1 of 9 kids in my family. There are 8 girls and 1 boy. Bless him.
I work in childcare and get to spend my days hanging out with super cool kids who constantly make me laugh and teach me new things (like handshakes and stuff).
I’ve felt the call to missions since I was little. When I was in the 3rd grade, I cried when my mom was packing my bags for my first church camp because I was afraid they were going to ask me to go on a mission trip. And I knew I would say yes.
I’ve been on 5 short term mission trips since then.
In October I’ll be leaving home and heading out on the most challenging trip yet. For 11 months I’ll be living out of a backpack and going to 11 different countries. I made the decision a long time ago to go wherever it is that the Lord leads me. Right now the places He’s leading me are Mozambique, Swaziland, Madagascar, Mongolia, China, Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, El Salvador.
