My story…is long, most of it sad. I could go and share with you all about my past and what events and the little details that occurred that changed my life. I could tell you how I lost my father, mother, and brother before I even turned 21. I can tell you story after story of my life.
But! I don’t want to do that today. I want to share with you why I have to go on the World Race. My first reason is that the Lord has written in my new chapter this specific trip in my life.
I have been to the mission field before and I have seen first hand many things that I will never forget. I have seen heartache, loss, sadness, hopelessness, and I have also seen joy, love, hope, and freedom!
My reason for needing to go on the World Race is simple. God has put a burden on my heart that I just can’t shake. By “burden” I mean that my heart literally aches for people who have no hope, who have heartache, who have experienced loss and sadness. My heart also aches to be with people who have joy, love, hope, and freedom in Christ. To be there to encourage them to stay strong in the Lord.
I personally can not heal the hurts of the world. But I can be a light in the darkness. I don’t want to try and sell you why I am going on this trip. I simply want to share with you my heart.
So I don’t want to tell you all about my past, I want you all to be part of my future. It’s kind of a weird statement to make but it’s true. I can’t get to the mission field all on my own. I need support from everyone.
I have financial deadlines I have to make, and all that good stuff. To be honest with you all I am nervous that I won’t raise my support in time and that I won’t be able to go on this trip. At the same time I know God is greater than any deadline or any fear that I have.
