We went to 3 different villages. The first 2 were up in the mountains. I loved them. Riding (standing( in the back of a truck. Around up and down, beautiful jscenery switchbacks. Treed and curves and views. loved it. Then reaching the top, where there are fields and fields of veggies and crops. Carrots, Zucchini, cabbage, corn, radishes, peas, etc… loved it. Steep uneven roads, washouts, off grid… loved it. “the top of Xenacoj”. I would love to pitch my tent in that spot (in the pueblo San Antonio_ for the next 2.5 weels. Riding horses and farming… would love it.
The last village we went to was less remote. David and German have been there before. Brenna, Ryan, Missy and I met with an elderly widow, her 58 yr old daughter, and 26 year old special needs/ mute grandson. Still uncomfortable with “herat-tohearts”with strangers, especially not knowing Spanish; I really felt God in the time. I was able to listen to the Holy Spirit, and was comforted by God allowing their 2 month old puppy crawl onto my lap and fall asleep. This was just after I had prayed for God to heal the elderly woman’s feet. It is a moment I can’t really explain, but just wanted to note.
