We are in Honduras!

We are living in a place called Zion’s Gate 15 min outside the capital. This month I get to sleep in my tent outside! Hooray for personal space! The entire squad is here this month, all 43 of us. It’s awesome. We’ve only been here for two full days, so I don’t have much to say about ministry yet.
The purpose of this blog is to share about the best Valentine’s day…kinda.
I say kinda because Valentine’s day is a reminder that I’m over a thousand miles away from my James, my family, my best friends, and all those I love at home. Thank you God for internet sticks.. James and I had a lovely Skype date from my tent to celebrate..how’s that for romance?!
As dinner time rolled around, us girls were in for a nice surprise. The men on our squad had cooked us an awesome dinner. They then put on a talent show to make us laugh, did improv skits and dances, sang songs to us, gave us flowers and each a personalized Valentine, and cookies! They spoke the TRUTH of God’s love for us and broke down the lies of beauty that this world teaches us. These guys spent the entire afternoon preparing for this, just to make us feel special and loved.
