Eyes closed.
Hands held high.
A worship song being sung in a different language by 80 children.
Hallelujahs being shouted from the lips of babes.
Tears rolling down their cheeks.
Suddenly I found myself surrounded by a large group of children pouring their hearts out to Jesus.
THIS. This is worship. This is what releasing yourself to Jesus looks like. This is what embracing the love of Jesus looks like.
I could not help but stand in awe of these children and the love they have for their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Most of them probably have a more intimate relationship with the Lord than adults who walk in the Christian faith.
At the beginning of 2017, I asked the Lord to give me a word for this new year and He told me one simple word; hallelujah. Praise the Lord. No matter what may happen, the good or bad, the Lord is worthy of our praise.
Many of the children at Living Water Children’s Home come from severely impoverished villages so they are familiar with hardships. Yet, they praise the Lord so passionately with their whole beings. A lesson that I myself could learn. The Lord is using these children to show me how to live by the word hallelujah.
In everything we do, may we praise the Lord. Hallelujah!
“Then I heard what sounded like a great multitude, like the roar of rushing waters and like loud peals of thunder, shouting: ‘Hallelujah! For our Lord God Almighty reigns. Let us rejoice and be glad and give Him Glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and His bride has made herself ready.'” -Revelation 19: 6-7
