Preparing for something like the race can be very intimidating. At some point you are either faced with opposition from others or opposition from yourself. I faced opposition from myself. After being involved in missions in Haiti for two years being away seemed very foreign. I felt like the work I had all ready accomplished would be lost and I didn’t want to leave the children I now call my family. However the Lord showed me through so much prayer that his ways are better than my own. He has a plan for me and I need to be obedient. When I started work in Haiti I wasn’t sure how the Lord would use me. But he showed up in some BIG ways, and I know it will be the same on this new mission field. The Lord is going to use each of us in different ways to further his kingdom and in the end we will know why each of us were chosen for this journey.
My prayer for each one of us is that::
*we will live in the moment
*we will always say yes to a challenge
*we will love deeply
*we will challenge each other
*we will ask questions
*we will be willing to learn
For…
You never know how much a new place will change you
You never know how the Lord is going to use you
You never know the impact you will leave on a place or on the people you encounter
You never know how much the people will impact you
Let’s never pass up an opportunity to show God’s LOVE
