This month we are all living as a squad under one roof.  Personally I believe this is the best accommodations we have had all year.  We eat together on kitchen tables and have a living room with couches and a t.v.  I must say we are very blessed this month.  It is such a weird feeling to hear football playing in the background.

This month will look different for every single person on the squad.  We have all gone our own directions with ministry.  I have missed nursing, so I decided to get plugged into some medical work.  I have been working in a clinic with 2 doctors that are missionaries here in a suburb of Manila.  All the healthcare provided to the community out of this clinic is free.  Most of the patients have basic medical needs although there are a few patients who have severe medical problems that need surgery.  Most of the patients with severe needs are unable to have the surgical procedure due to financial problems.

Our contacts here in Makati City have a ministry called KIDS International ministry.  They do so much for the community.  They have about 30 orphaned kids that live right next to us.  I have loved visiting them everyday and helping to take care of them.  The only problem is that I want to take them all home with me.  I have had the opportunity to participate in other ministries such as visiting the prisons and painting.  But overall my heart is in the medical care and the kids.
