This past weekend we had the opportunity to go to Vietnam for a couple of days. Vietnam was a beautiful place to visit. We went to Ho Chi Minh City and it was incredibly busy with motos everywhere.
On Saturday some of us went on a boat ride down the Mekong River. It was beautiful and a lot more rural than Ho Chi Minh City.
I was excited to see Vietnam because 40 years earlier my Dad was there as part of the military. Come to find out he was stationed on the Mekong River. I think that it is so amazing that I was around the same area my Dad was 40 years ago but in very different circumstances. I know that he has always wanted to come back to Vietnam to visit.
