What a beautiful site, sitting on the beach in St. Lucia, South Africa looking at the Indian ocean.
The waves are huge as they crash on the sandy shore.
Our team decided that since this was our last weekend in Swaziland we would take a three-hour road trip to St. Lucia.
One of our team members Mark had never seen an ocean before in his whole life.

As we ran into the ocean I threw my flip-flops off and jumped into the water.
We played and took pictures for a while and then decided to get lunch.
As I walked back up to get my flip-flops I realized that the tide had come in and took one of them.
We looked for the other flip-flop but had soon come to realize that it was a part of the Indian Ocean now.
I could not stop laughing but then became sad realizing that this was my only pair of flip-flops.
“Oh God please bring back my flip-flop”.
About thirty minutes later we were standing by our car getting our lunch.
A man walked up to our car and in his hand was my missing flip-flop.
He was boogie boarding on the shore when he came across it.
I was so happy and all I could think of was “thanks God for your continued provision”.

The next day we went to a secluded beach called Cape Vidal.
Reefs surrounded this part of the beach and when it was low tide we were able to walk around the reefs and explore them.
The tide started to come in and would splash against the reefs creating the illusion that you were walking on water in a picture.
Our teammate Mark traveled to a far away reef for a picture with the waves crashing on the reef.
Mark accomplished it fairly easy and when he returned the girls and I decided to try it.
We walked out to the reef but took our time due to the crashing waves and sharp rocks.
When we all got to our picture taking point Mark snapped the photo just as a huge wave smashed against us sending us all tumbling down.
At the time it was quite scary but looking back we always giggle.
All of our flip-flops had fallen off and Mark had to go on a hunt to find them all.
We all have small battle wounds but no one was hurt severely.

We enjoyed our time at St. Lucia but all to fast it came to an end.
For the next couple of days we will be packing up and leaving our farm.
We will travel back to South Africa and on August 27th we will be flying to Thailand.
One continent behind and soon another continent to venture into.
