As of late, I’ve had a loss of words. BUUUUUUT, I don’t want to keep you in the dark of whats been going on! Sooo, I want to take you on a
Tour de Romania!
Get Excited!
At the beginning of the month, we traded one crazy fool for another! I say that in complete love because I just love both these guys. Auston Copeland, hopped to another team for the month and we got our Squad Leader, Austin Robetson! It was a decent trade 🙂
Our Austons/Austins!!!!!!!!!!
Our team ended up taking a 3 day train ride to the city of Arad! Way easier said than done! Especially when your carrying 50 pounds of gear on your back!
But it was so worth it because we fell in love with the people of Romania!
The first week of ministry we were all over the city of Arad.
Let me show you….
We got to speak at the high school,
encourage these future leaders, tell them the testimonies of our past year and our lives,
and show them just how crazy awesome it is to live surrendered to JESUS!
Official coolest day of ministry is the paintball war we had with the guys from the highschool!
Don’t worry, me and my teammate Caitlin represented the girls well!
Then to the most random day of ministry!
We went to an orphanage and gathered walnuts for the kids to eat for food for winter!
Another day we visited a different orphanage for mentally challenged children that were abandoned.
It is a school, a home, a family all in one.
These precious kids stole our hearts!
We also got to be guest visitors to an elementary school and speak to them about America!
Precous!
BUT after so much moving around Arad…..and literally….our two feet were our own transportation!
We walked everywhere to and from each ministry.
But the town was fun to explore!
We finally found our home at a new little orphanage that was trying to expand and was in desperate need of extra laborers to prepare a new home for the kids to move in to.
We were told that we were “needed” so badly and we’re such a blessing! So amazing because it felt an even more blessing to do this for the kids.
Like seriously and for real! This is probably one of my favorite ministry of the year!
We Sanded….
….and gardened…..
…spackled….
….painted….
….made a bathroom (he’s the expert!)…
….laid floors….
…with our friends Nole from England and Eliseo from Cicily who have been volunteering their time to get these kids into a nice, warm home.
We ended up being a pretty awesome team!
I kinda left my heart in Romania.
Usually at the end of the month, we’re about ready to leave to the next country.
But here in Romania none of us wanted to leave.
We were secretly hoping to spend the rest of the days on the Race in this country,
buuuut….
there is always something new and exciting just around the corner….
MOLDOVA!
