Greeting from the Philippines!!!!
If you haven’t heard we had a route change. Month 3 is no longer in Malaysia, but rather we find ourselves in the Philippines! And I love love love this place so far!
I hope to conclude a couple more blogs with our time in Australia, but I want to update you briefly on whats going on!
Ahhhh travel days! They are quite exhausting but in the end, sooo worth it!
We left Darwin, Australia and flew through Singapore then through Malaysia, and ended up finding ourselves in an old Philippino army base in the city of Clark located a couple hours outside of Manilla the capitol. The airports are mainly outside minus large warehouse looking building where you briefly run through customs and check in. I felt like the President getting off of the plane on that huge ladder deal stepping out waving to everyone….accept there were no cameras or reporters to welcome us…sad, I know! But no time for rest or tears! Moments later after exchanging some money into the local currency we are off on a two hour bus ride to Cainta Rizal, located right outside the capitol.
Interesting fact: $43 American dollars is equal to $2,000 pasos….I felt so rich 🙂
The past 4 days have been a debrief time for our squad! Its alot of fun having all 61 of us together again for a few days! We relaxed, refreshed, worshiped, were challenged, stepped further into freedom, and tomorrow we find ourselves off to our next ministry site. Ahhh yes, travel day again! We fly out of the same old army base to an island in the south of the Philippines. I have little info as of now of what we will be doing so when I get the solid information I will be sure to fill you in.
