The last candy bar is mine!

You know youre a New Zealand World Racer when….

-you find yourself driving on the “wrong side” of the road.

-you realize there can never be too many round a bouts!

-you are awakened from your sleep to cows mating in the middle of the night.

-you look into the sky and realize the stars are completely different constellations.

-your team meetings last longer than three hours.

-you find yourself along with 25 other racers and 25 backpacks abandoned on a random roadside curb.

-you ration off peanut butter sandwiches like their gold.

-you would take out a fellow teammate for the last piece of chocolate.

-you try to buy a bottle of sunscreen that ends up costing $30.

-you discover there is no ozone layer only after getting insanely burned….even on your bottom lip!

-you meet the local native Mauri people who give you nose hugs.

-you cook your dinner in a dirt pit called a hangi that looks like a man size coffin.

-you pay $7 bucks for coffee because your so tired.

-you wake up in the middle of the night praying that your tent actually stays waterproof.

-you hear the word KIWI and cant figure out if they are talking about the people, the fruit, or the bird.

-you realize that kilometers is not the same as pounds.

-you go to the drive thru of McDonalds on the wrong side of the building because everything is backwards.

-you watch the sunrise before anyone else in the world.

– you find yourself in a tropical oasis in the middle of a cow pasture.

-you scream “SHEEP” every 5 minutes.

-When you look across a landscape your utterly convinced you might see a hobbit.
