Sorry for the lack of contact. Our internet connection has been very limited and our schedules have been super packed!!!       I thought to catch you up I would share a part of a journal entry with you because its closest to my heart.

January 8th
Today I read Luke 10 when you sent out the 72 disciples two by two with no belongings, no food, no place to stay, other than the mandate of preparing the way by preaching the Good News. Sounds remotely familiar J ! I have so many questions for them like whether they were afraid, did they feel on the brink of something huge, did they wonder where their next meal would come, if they could do a miracle, and the first time that they cast a demon out were they shocked that they could do that… that that power was within them?

I feel like a young disciple before you, not yet confident in the power that I truly possess because I don’t fully understand it or maybe even who I am yet. My favorite verses are chapter 10:17 and 10:21 that says when the 72 came back they were “filled with joy”, and Jesus when you saw them you were also “filled with joy” by seeing their childlike awe, their obedience, their joy and wonder as they discovered YOUR power within them. I love seeing your confidence in them and pushing them out there in to the unknown! Then your joy as they discover you with a captivated heart. Let me be likewise in your presence!

If we all lived with such wild abandon, would not men and women be as pillars of faith rampant throughout the earth literally healing the sick, literally prophesying over nations, literally casting out demons and thus rocking the world for the KINGDOM OF HEAVEN!?!?!
