Ever since my first summer away living in Tanzania in college I have always taken a photo facing the country. The first time it happened by one of my teammates when I was reflecting on God’s beauty, presence, power and creativity in the land that lay below me in the Africa Mountains. When I traveled to China, I had the opportunity to be in awe of God’s masterful work at the Great Wall of China. Since those beautiful encounters with the awesome and mighty presence of the Holy Spirit, I left on the Race with the same idea and the goal to face 11 countries.

Each time I take a second to worship, thank, and stand in awe of my creator who has creatively knit together this world through people, places, languages, faces, and cultures. I praise God for all that he has done in that country before I ever stepped foot across the border, I praise Him for everything that He did through me or around me while I was in that country, and I praise Him for everything He will continue to do in that country.
