Did you know!?!

Did you know…God blesses us when we least expect it? 
Did you know…God used a friend's strange request to bring me to tears in awe of God's Provision? 

This week a friend gave me $20. He said, "Don't do anything with this. Hold it up to God and say, 'God please multiply this money like you did to the fishes and loaves!’” I went home that night, held up my $20, and said exactly what he said to say. Before I went to work the next day I felt like God was nudging me to wear a bracelet that I had made. It reads, "God Provides!" I needed it as a reminder. I had started to loose faith in how my money would come in. I wore it all day. When I would catch a glimpse of it, I remembered to have faith in how God would be the one bringing in my money, not me. Right before I was done with work, a customer came to me and said, "I was wondering what your bracelet said?"  I explained what it said and why I was wearing it. I needed a reminder to trust in God for my trip that I was talking in September. We talked about it a little longer. She related to the phrase that she had written on rock. I was closing up our coffee shop when I saw her walk back in to the shop. She handed me an envelope that said God Provides. In $20 bills, she had given me $100. I was brought to tears how God could use a complete stranger to show me exactly how he multiples the simplest things for the greatest reasons. God multiplied that $20 for me to see his power in all situations. 

Did you know…I am a little over 1/15th of the way supported?

Did you know…I need to have $3, 500 in my account by July 1st to be able to go to Training Camp…and move to the "last part of my interview for the race"?

Did you know…it takes 2 weeks to process the checks that are sent in to support me??…so send them asap!!

Did you know…there is a processing fee for the Online Credit Card Donations?

Did you know…I would be FULLY FUNDED if 50 people gave $25 a month?!?!? 50!!!

Did you know…fear and sacrifice seem to go hand in hand or at least are in my hand right now?
Did you know…I have alot of fears about this trip?

Top 10 fears:
1. Being away from my family for 11 months 
2. Having a long distance relationship for another year
3. Coming back a totally changed person
4. Not going at all
5. Writing my blogs to supporters, friends, family
6. Seeing real and raw need in the world, and not knowing exactly how to fix it
7.  Getting to the end of myself-allowing God to take over
8. Backpacking for a year
9. Missing out on the first year of my nephew's life
10. Making the wrong decisions. 

Did you know…I have had to make sacrifices too?

Some racer sacrifices:
$250 paycheck straight to pay for my backpack 
40+ hour work week since February 2012
Selling my car to put money toward the trip
Carpooling with Mom and Dad all summer
I will be working 3 jobs during the month of June
Loosing sleep thinking about how to fundraise
Leaving my job at a school I could potentially work at long term
Leaving the best family in the entire world
Taking another year of long distance with my boyfriend
Asking others to sacrifice for my trip
 

Did you know…asking others to sacrifice for you is really hard?
Did you know…I CAN NOT do this with you? 
Did you know…I am praying for each one of you as you join me in my journey?
