In Michelle Perry’s book, “Love Has a Face”, she gives us the advice to wake up each morning, and rather than asking God what He wants us to do, ask God what He is already doing, and then join Him.
It’s Week One on the World Race, and I am already in awe of what God is doing here in Ponce, Puerto Rico. There are many people here who are madly in love with our Savior and are already sharing His love with people all over the island. And we have the honor of joining them.
We will be working with 2 different ministries this month. One is a soup kitchen that feeds those in need while building relationships with them, and the other is a drug rehabilitation center which serves as an alternative to jail where the men are able to learn about how Christ can help them overcome their addiction and bring abundant life.
Pray for me and my team as we get to serve and minister here. Pray for those we will encounter, that God will prepare their hearts. Pray for seeds to be planted, even if we never get to see the harvest.
I believe that God can and will work through anyone and everyone who is willing. I believe that God is already moving here in Puerto Rico. I believe that a single encounter with Jesus can radically change someone’s world. I believe I’m going to witness the Lord at work!
