If there is only one single lesson I learn from the World Race.. Let it be this.
That my Papa will do everything in his power (which is a lot.. considering the creation I am staring at in the “small foothills” of the Himalayan Mountains) …. from heartbreak, to triumph, to tears, to laughter .. from San Francisco to Nepal … from Valleys to Mountains…. from waking you up in the dead of night, or not letting you sleep at all…
All of this..
Just to get you to a place where you stop.. sit down.. take a look back at where you’ve come.. take a look at the incredible surroundings that you’ve come to… breathe in His presence.. and exhale “I Need You MORE”..
To which he whispers
“I have so much more! The places you have seen only pale to the places I have for you.. But you must always remember this breath. This cry. This desperate understanding that you sang to me tonight..”
I need you more. More than yesterday. I need you More. More than words can say. I need you more than ever before. I need you, Lord. I need you, Lord.
More than the air I breathe. More than the song I sing. More than the next heartbeat. More than anything.
Lord, as time goes by, I’ll be by your side. Cause I never want to go back to my old life.
I need you more. More than yesterday. I need you more. More than words can say. I need you more than ever before. I need you, Lord. I need you, Lord.”
If I learn NOTHING ELSE, this week, this month, this Race, in this entire life.. let me never forget how desperately I need you MORE, Papa.
