One week down! I have already learned so much. My team and I are doing great. We have several missions that that we are working on through the group Nueve Generation (new generation). They do value classes teaching morals in school, they teach English, music, they are building a couple homes and me and some others are helping translate some Spanish curriculum into English. There are three teams staying in this house and that is very challenging when we all have to cook our own dinners and keep the place clean.
We climbed this huge hill where there is a cross on the top that you can see the whole town. And you can see the cross from almost anywhere in town. Everyone here has been so nice so far. I’ve talked to several Guatemalan people they are all ready to try to talk even though there is a language barrier.
We ride these buses that are packed full of people where we often have people standing. On a bus ride on Monday this little girl gave two of our girls those rubber band bracelets then told one of our “no mas” then gave me one. Her name was Ivy and we all have been wearing these bracelets in case we see her again she was 7 and her sister was 5.
There has been some issues with feeling like our ministry isn’t doing much and living together and not really being vulnerable with each other, but we have realized these problems and are working on them so if you could pray for my team and I in that aspect that’d be great.
