It’s true. There
really is no place like home,
but…
I’m not ready to click my red shoes together
and go there…not just yet, at least.
There is still so much to do.
Home is, however, where I will be headed if I do not meet my
“fully funded” deadline of July 1st. To date, I have raised $11,242.66. I have $3,057.34 to go. Daunting. I cannot even accurately express how
difficult it is for me to write and publish this online. It is no secret that I have my dad’s stubborn
tendencies and I have been slow to reach out in this respect but I can put it
off no longer. I know without a shadow
of a doubt that The World Race is where I am supposed to be. Every single day presents new challenges, new
ministry opportunities and life encounters that will forever change the way I
view this thing called life. God is working in amazing ways and lives are
being changed. Every. Single. Day. I do not take this for granted and realize
that this journey is one that most people will never have the opportunity to
experience. It is a humbling privilege
to be here. I am grateful each morning
when I awake and I give thanks each night before I drift asleep. Sometimes I pinch myself just to make sure it
is actually happening. It is…and I love
it.
Your love, support and generosity are the sole reason that I
am here. Without YOU, this simply would
not be possible. That fact is nestled
deep inside of me and I am continuously moved by your gracious and giving spirits. I am blessed beyond words with an outstanding
cloud of support. Thank you so much for
all the ways that you have supported me thus far. I am requesting your continued support so
that I can finish this Race. I am
excited about the months to come and the challenges that lie ahead, but none
will be possible without you. Please
prayerfully consider partnering with me.
Every dollar you donate is tax deductible and life changing. Your contribution will help feed and educate
children, provide assistance to orphanages, teach Bible schools, run athletic
camps, provide HIV assistance, facilitate youth programs, build houses, remodel
homeless shelters, provide food and ministry to the world’s rapidly increasing
homeless population, minister and assist recovering addicts of all ages, remove
children from the streets, hospital visits and prayers for the sick, medical
assistance for the ailing…and that’s just to name a few. Every single dollar counts. You can be a beacon of light in some of the
world’s darkest corners. Join me in
changing the world.
Perhaps you have a friend, family member, co-worker or a
church group that you think might also be interested in supporting this cause. I would be forever grateful, so please pass
along to anyone you would like.
Again, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to all of my
supporters whether you are a friend, family member or anonymous donor. You are the reason that I am here and I will
never forget that.
2 Corinthians 9:10-12 says, “Now he who supplies seed to the
sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and
will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.
You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every
occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. This service that you perform is not only
supplying the needs of God’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions
of thanks to God.”
If you would like to make a donation you can click on the
“support me” tab to the left and it will direct you to Adventures in Missions’
homepage. It is self-explanatory from
there. You will be mailed a tax receipt
to retain for your records. Note: if you donate online 5% will be deducted as a
fee. You can also mail a check to this
address: Adventures in Missions, P.O. Box 534470, Atlanta, GA 30353. Please note my name in the memo line.
Lastly, please subscribe to my blog for future updates. I have totally stunk it up thus far and for
that I am so sorry! I promise to do
better in the coming months. (Sorry,
Mom!) I know that you all want to know
what’s going on. I am such a
perfectionist and am slow to put it out there if it isn’t just “right” but I
know it’s not about that. Stay tuned. I want you to be able to hear about all that is going on across that big ole pond.
If you’d like to check out my albums on facebook, I’ve loaded a couple thousand pictures. I mean…who isn’t on facebook these days? 🙂 My mom even joined Team FB!
Much love and many thanks for all that you have done to help
make this possible.
peace~
