Hey! I’m Karson and I’m 18 years old. I was born and raised in South Carolina. I am a senior in high school. In 2014 I went on a mission trip to serve in an orphanage in Haiti with my mom. I knew then that my heart would lead me back to the mission field. When I was first told about the World Race Gap Year I knew that it was right for me.
I will be leaving in October for a nine month mission trip to India, Malaysia, and Zambia. I am very excited to see the people we will work with across the world and build strong relationships with my team. I know I will miss my friends and family back home but I am looking forward to seeing the person I become as a result of this adventure.
Below are 9 fun facts about me. One fun fact for each month I will be out of the country.
My Fun Facts:
– I love all things Harry Potter & Game of Thrones!
– I am the only grandchild on my mom’s side and the oldest of 19 grandkids on my dad’s side.
– I love makeup and could spend hours watching YouTube tutorials.
– Did student teaching this year in my Kindergarten teacher’s classroom. Dragons still “Stop, Look & Listen” twelve years later.
