Growing up, I have seen God provide over and over. I have seen Jehoveh Jireh in action more than I can count. When we didn’t have money for bills or food, we would receive an envelope in the mail with $100 cash. When we desperately needed a new car, our church family rallied together and bought us a car. When we outgrew our church building, we saw God provide just enough for the next phase of construction to build a church debt free. When I finished a semester of college and went to pay my school balance, the registrar’s office would inform me that my balance had been paid anonymously. Even though this has been a regular occurrence, it never gets old.

So, needless to say, the finances of this trip have been the least of my worries. I know that God always provides, and yet, I’m still surprised and overwhelmed when He does. This past Friday was my first financial deadline for the trip, ensuring that I could go to training camp in 2 weeks. I was a few hundred dollars short and was waiting to transfer money from my savings into my World Race account. On Thursday, I went to transfer the money and I was $1,200 over my deadline minimum!! In the same day, I also received money from an unrelated source that will pay for a huge chunk of my supplies.

Now, part of me completely expected this last minute provision, while the other part of me cannot help but be giddy and bask in the goodness that is God’s grace. I have thanked Him on repeat. His provision is always on point.
