On January 28th,  we had an opportunity to team up with the MST Project (www.mstproject.com/vision).  MST stands for Men and the Sex Trade. Every night godly men go out to the red light districts, to reach out and share the gospel with the men participating in illicit activities. Before the men go out they break into groups and have a time of accountability. So during this time, our team had accountability with a beautiful sister, Mary, she was such a blessing to us.
She is such a prayer warrior and her words and just filled us with Christ’s love. We confessed what we were dealing with, and as she spoke to us we felt as if the Lord himself was talking to us. Walls were definitely broken last night. Living in community requires to be vulnerable. Which is hard enough to do with people you’ve known for years, much less two weeks. We totally believe that time of confession, and last night would be a turning point in our team. I learned that we need to be free and give to the Lord our issues. He wants to work through them and give restoration and healing.
After this powerful time of encouragement and prayer we went upstairs. We prayed for the men before they went out into the city streets. As the night went on we would get text messages asking for prayer for the different men they were talking to. We prayed and worshipped from about 10pm to 1 am. When the guys came back we were so excited to hear about what had happened. Our prayers had definitely been answered! One tourist, let call him Tristan was going to the bar to see his “girlfriend”, he had met a guy from MST before, and after having another encounter he decided not to go to the bar. He had met one of the men for lunch a few weeks back and had the gospel shared with him. We see God is working in Tristan heart. A lot of times when the men go out, they get a lot of negative responses, men flipping the off and the like. But that night, that was not the case. They met many men from all over the world, and they said it was only by our prayers and the grace of God that that’s night experience had gone so well.
Please continue to pray for the MST and for Tristan’s salvation. Your prayers are not in vain, there is a God and He loves His children! Thank you for your prayers for me and my team Arise60!
