Hello!

My name is Karina and I LOVE Jesus!

I graduated from California Baptist University in May of 2009. I was a Business Major and Minored in Global Studies. It was at CBU where I first learned about Human Trafficking. My Sophomore year in college I took a class called, Current Events and World Movements, in this class we did projects on different issues that are impacting our world. A few of my peers talked about Human Trafficking, Sexual Slavery, and Child Slavery. That class broke my heart, and I knew that God was calling me to fight human trafficking. In Summer 2008 I had an opportunity to go to Thailand on a service project. It was love as soon as we landed. The people and the country are so beautiful, but there is a dark spiritual presence there and sin is very rampant. I was there for only 3 weeks, and I did not want to come home. In that short amount of time, Thailand had become home for me. I knew God was calling me to Thailand to do His work, to love the Thai people and share His love with them. I want Him to use me to bring girls out of darkness, sexual exploitation, and into His marvelous light!  Micah 6:8 is one of my favorite verses- He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?

Besides educating myself on human trafficking and other social injustices, I like to read (Francine Rivers is my favorite), I work at a movie theater- so I watch movies from time to time ( my favorite serious movie is Blood Diamond, favorite not serious is Aladdin), I love my friends and spending time with them is always time well spent.  I love playing games, whether it’s board games, card games, get to know you games, or just goofy camp games. I love them!
