God has been rocking my world in training camp this week in big and small ways. I don't want to give too much away for future racers (the mystery is awesome!) but one of the coolest parts was a simulated market! We had music blaring, food lining the streets, cars driving through the middle of us honking at us and yelling (and beating drums!), even "homeless" people begging on the streets. In the chaos and awesomeness, we all just kind of brushed passed the "homeless," snapping pictures everywhere and soaking in the moment.

Later, as our team leaders were debriefing everything that went on, they told us only one person offered to pray for the "homeless" beggars and no one had offered to buy them food… Let that sink in. In all our excitement, we overlooked the "poor" and "broken" in this scenario because we got caught up in ourselves.

After beating myself up for hours for not "fake" praying for these "fake" homeless people, I began to "real" pray and God spoke to me. As I kept apologizing for my imaginary sin, He spoke to me and said, "There are going to be times on the race when you will get caught up in the moment and miss opportunities to glorify me. BUT, if you dwell only on what opportunities you let slip away… You will miss hundreds more."

This market scenario was made up. There wasn't a real beggar who missed out on the glory of God because of my mistake, but… How many opportunities do we miss by living in our own little worlds? And maybe more importantly, what missed opportunity or past sin are you holding on to that is causing you to miss what God is doing right now?
