Happy V-Day (a little late…)!

HAPPY BELATED VALENTINE’S DAY!!

What better way to spend Valentine’s Day than with my first true love…my Heavenly Father.  It was a gorgeous day with time to just bask in the His presence surrounded by His beauty and creation.  God continued to reveal Himself to me throughout the day.  As thoughts of self pity would come here and there, God reminded me that He is the only perfect man, THE ONE that captured my heart from the beginning and has never failed me.  He holds me when I need to be held, He listens when I need someone to listen, He always knows what I need, and He pours out His love uncondionally, no matter what I do against Him or how much I hurt Him.  WOW!

After spending most of the day with the best guy ever (yes Jesus!), I got to spend the evening with 6 awesome girls and 2 wonderful people who are our parents for the month.  In the evening, Heather and some others made us a D-licious dinner…so good I can’t even describe it.  We headed off to the theater to enjoy a movie and just spend time together.  Girl time…spending this Valentine’s evening with these girls was great!  We got to laugh together and just enjoy each other’s presence while having fun.  God knew we needed that time just to relax and spend time with each other.  Living in community involves making time for each other…
